RE: Exhaust pressure- CM871 First off, do the complete tune up, everything, not just some. I have the same year motor, let me tell you it creates soot like you have never seen. I have done the work on mine to eliminate much of these issues, ahem. One thing I would do is clean the soot out at least twice a year, along with replacing and or cleaning all of the sensors as needed. I would also remove the cans and have them cleaned, baked, maybe you will get a little more life out of them doing this. They are not difficult to get off, just watch the lines on the sides of the cans, mine snapped/broke right off. I also found those lines were severely clogged with soot, I have no clue how it even was able to regen. If you remove the cans for cleaning, you will need a new gasket set for the cans and the exhaust inlet. Just my .02 | |||
