CM870 ECM AND TURBO PROBLEMS Hello all, I'm new to the forum, thanks Rawze for letting me join. I bought an 05 W900 Isx 450 cm870 from a buddy of mine. It was demandated before my buddy bought it. Classic case of bad work done to it in the past. Had water in the oil when I bought it. I've done a complete rebuild. Now I need some advise on getting the rest of the problems fixed. Original turbo has been replaced with a borg warner. No surprises he told me jake brake didnt work. Next problem is the ecm isn't the correct one for this engine. I didn't know that until I hooked up insite after I rebuilt it. The ecm is from an Isx 500, different cpl, a year older and roughly 43,000 serial numbers difference. I have no idea why the ecm was changed. My questions are what do I need to do about the turbo, keeping in mind I have none of the original components for a core charge or whatever. Next question is what do I need to do to get the proper programming in the ecm for my serial number and what I'm working with. I don't have much knowledge on ecms. Usually work on Cat, knock on wood I've never had an issue with a Cat ecm, other than changing trim codes after an injector change or recalibrating the timing after a rebuild or cam sensor replacement. Any advise to steer me in the right direction will be greatly appreciated! | |||
