RE: 2024 x15 ticking at 1400 rpm Sorry 10k km yes, I do local crane deliveries but also run the out of town that we do aswell. The old sterling/Mercedes (2008) has 350,000km and 13000hrs. Sticky plunger in fuel pump is a possibility, do you know if these new motor are prone to faulty pumps like the older 2020 versions, dealer didn't even hint that they would go down that path for warranty, the amount of labor just to rip it apart then to test was too much I guess. Will this kind of knocking/loud tick be enough to damage my more important components, valves, piston, sleeves, or even injectors. Could it be a faulty injector cause the knock or tick. Truck is factory still, we mustn't demandate for environmental reasons. Dealer did go through things and tighten possible cause but the noise is getting louder, so I think it is cause damage to something but I have no clue what. Valve was one of my thoughts aswell except shouldn't it be a more consistent noise. How can I upload a sound clip. I am joking on the mandated engines. | |||
