RE: Scissor gear I believe what I did wrong was I only loosened the 2 bolts instead of backing them out all the way. This allowed the two gears to be able to turn freely once removed. My theory is if I back out 2 bolts across from each other it would compress the springs again. I could install the gear and tighten the bolts allowing the springs to engage. This is just a theory! I would appreciate any advice. | |||
