because that is what the manufacturer says (by 500k miles), and that is usually when they start to dry up as well based on experiences.

put a glas of water on top of the engine and run it. -- record it with video on your phone.

replace the damper, then do the same. - You will see what the differences are.

Of course, it is not water your trying to keep quieted down,.. its the entire electrical system, the electronics, and all the other components that are sensitive to excess vibration.

Excess vibration is the killer of many things on a truck. Its best to keep after minimizing it, as it only costs you a lot more not to.

Do you think this could be why my Jake's don't vibrate at high rpm above 1500 but when rpm reaches around 1400 and below it feels like my motor is gonna come apart. Cummins rebuilt the jakes and new wiring harness for jakes and injectors. Compression test and vgt inspected ipt test all passed. Can't figure it out.
