Also,. 553 is an over-pressure code. The excess pressure has to come from somewhere. Either the fuel pump regulator is bad, its electrical circuit is not operating (bad delete programming, wiring issues, etc.), or there is pressure back-feeding into the fuel system from the cylinders (leaky injectors, cracked head, etc.).

Will the engine pass a fuel leak test after all that work was done to it, EXACTLY as this video shows?... what is the leak rate in 60-seconds???.

I also recently found out that there are some shops now, who are doing bad deletes on these engines, that are mechanically modifying the fuel pump regulator, jamming it internally so that makes full pressure all the time. These are some kind of especial ignorant, and complete morons out there who are doing engine killing crap like this. Doing resistance and other checks on the regulator will not reveal this. - Replacing the fuel pressure regulator fixes it.
