{look like} these engines indeed do have emissions. They have SCR - THAT IS EMISSIONS. Also programming wise there are limits for nox and lots of auxiliary emissions. How are the camshaft profiles? Valve overlap can also act like EGR. Also pulse injection can create small explosion that burns away available oxygen and there is internal EGR.

SCR cans get deSox and deNox regens too, they are active elements in this case

I believe that is the way their egr is set up. I haven't looked personally, but I believe they are internal egr, yes.

As for the cans, yes, they have SCR, though they still offer an E3 (euro 3) replacement for the old Gen2 (CM570? I think) which is full non emissions. Same base engine though, these pictures are from one of those



This engine is fitted to a T904, so was pre emissions. They didn't start the 870/871 until the T908.
