Got a question for this ; whats the typical miles / Km you guys usually do an inframe on your Motors when hauling this Weight.

Can only speak for the company I contract to, but basically it's a sh*tshow with the sort of run they get out of these red engines. Some will do 1 million km (roughly 600k miles) some are lucky to get 3-400k km (250k ish miles). I can't say whether this is to do with drivers or just luck of the draw. Owner operator trucks seem to do a lot better (we have probably 3 out of the 8 or so contractors with Cummins), so I guess it does come down to the driver. Company drivers, well, I'm pretty sure they're the same everywhere, so that probably goes without saying....

Generally though, with the work these things do here, they don't usually get a very long life after an inframe. Better off doing an out of frame, or what most of them do is just bin them and fit crate engines. I have heard of some being inframed and only getting another couple hundred thousand before they are f*cked altogether. One of the other contractors just budgets to stick a crate engine in every million km, the truck he owns, an old Mack Vision has probably passed 4.5mil km on the chassis now. So every 5 years or so he will just drop a crate engine in and carry on....
