Most of the 'highways' are very 2nd rate, I have towed triples on the dirt roads up on Cape York Penninsular where average speeds are around 20 klm/hr. The black split corrugated conduit most commonly found protecting electrical wiring will wear a hole clean through wiring harnesses on the dirt roads from corrugations/vibration. Kenworth are one of the better manufactures at preventing this, although most Kenworth trucks spent a week in the shed getting more preventative work before venturing onto the dirt. | |||
