How dead is the ecm? It still communicates? Maybe you can use that term program to make backup and transfer over to next ecm.

Yes it still communicates.

I did not know that term could back up to be used on another unit.

I have been familiarizing myself with the program. It sees my current ECM but doesn't show the serial, which I am unsure of why and concerns me. In Site does see the serial.

I was going to flash the new one with the most currrent cal from Q S and then put my template back on as the thread from Rawze suggests.
