| ISL inframe tips? (yay!) Long time Lurker, First time poster 2015 Freightliner Rollback equipment hauler, 447K miles. ISL9 300HP 850LbFt Cyl 6 is bypassing and turbo boost in crank case (not from oil return line). Just looking for any tips on doing an inframe. I have seen a rather detailed post about the X15s but being a different family of motor, I am assuming there may be differences. Looking for info like Liner depth, other things to do during rebuild, anything that might make my motor last longer than it did. Oil consumption history: 250K approx 1 gal per oil change (15K miles each) 350K approx 2 gal per 415K approx 4 gal per Symptoms for inframe: New crank case filter approx 400K. Crank case code at 440K ish. Changed filter. Crank case code again at 445K. Did the filter delete knowing motor was on the way out. 447K dash lit up like a christmas tree. Diagnosis process (this is without a crank case filter or check valve): Insite pressure reading on fault code history - 27.8inH20 Crank case pressure Parked - Idle 10-12inH20, 1500rpm - 15inH20 Cyl cutout #6 - Idle 8-9inH20 Remove intake tube between innercooler and throttle body - Idle 7-8inH20 Intake tube and #6 cutout - Idle 5inH20 Cyl 6 bleed down, 100psi - 0psi approx 2-3 seconds. Any help appreciated! Casey | |||
