Thank you! I am working to upload now ...

the file you sent to me...

This is a typical tuning-site cookie cutter bad delete program that is harmful to the engine. It is a typical 'block all the faults, and then pretend that there are some magical unicorns in there to make everything all better again' type of delete. Some people call this type of hack-n-slash trash, 'factory deletes', .. because nothing much at all was done besides blocking a bunch of faults, and then assuming like a complete fool that there is kind of hidden fix-it auto-correct sauce inside. It is extremely harmful to operate the engine like this and causes damage and excessive wear over time, shortening the life of the engine (and its turbo) greatly. Here are just some of the highlights that were noted during the review ...

== The File is many years out of date. The base software needs an upgrade, ecu re-flashed back to its latest factory programming, before a proper file can be made.

== There has been is no engine operating mode control re-mapping done whatsoever. This is VERY harmful, as the engine will perpetually make extra heat and friction internally in attempts to warm up the missing DOC/DPF/SCR systems, resulting in excessive turbocharger over-spooling and engine wear. The result is progressive damage inside the engine via premature head gasket failure due to fretted liners. This is before even adding any power/torque.

== The EGR gas combustion offset logic has not been switched off. This is very Harmful to the cylinders once the EGR is physically disabled. Significantly shortened engine life is the result.

== The Auxiliary emissions systems (they activate as a penalty when the main emissions systems are de-activated), for NOX control, Ammonia control, etc. - All offsets have not been fully/properly switched off. this results in Ghost Efficiency loss, ghost power problems, Ghost derates, and is slightly-to-moderately harmful to the engine. It is also common for someone to also try to jack up the power settings for the engine in attempts to cover up this issue.

== NO corrections whatsoever have been done to compensate for the removed EGR gas from the intake. The ECM's factory settings for Injection timing, fuel-air-mix, and several other combustion processes become VERY harmful to the engine without EGR gas if they have not corrected. - The result is as significantly shortened engine lifespan and progressive damage over time. This is a common issue with harmful delete programming, where someone assumed it would ‘auto-correct’ itself, but this is a far from the truth as it gets.

== Fuel air mix re-mapping has not been / set for a deleted engine. The engine will run too lean, and this is harmful over time.

== The turbocharger has NOT been re-reprogrammed for a deleted engine. It will over-spool like mad, choke the exhaust and cause ghost power loss, lower than normal fuel mileage, and cause the engine ti run too lean, progressively causing damage over time to itself and the engine. - Head gasket and/or turbocharger failures are in its future if this is not corrected.

========================
To get it right ...

== (Insite) Back up all vehicle settings (in insite by making a work order + ecm template + ecm image). This backup using Insite will have all the vehicle-specific settings in it that are otherwise hard to get back if lost.

== Flash this latest base factory stock file in via CT (or with Insite).

== (Insite) Restore the work order/template (vehicle-specific settings) that was made in Insite before the re-flash, so that the engine knows the addresses of all the buttons in the dash are, etc..

== (Insite) Clear all faults 2x in a row, cycling the keyswitch, and then Run engine for 10 minutes on new factory software to rebuild data. It does not matter if it has some emissions systems faults that do not go away at this point.

== (Calterm) copy the clean updated file back out via CT and e-mail it (and the old file backup if you have not already) to me to have it re-done properly.

====

Welcome to the bad delete club.

Thank you! I will work on the above info. Working to clear “snow” out of driveway here in NC! Once I get back out to truck I will start the process and get the requested file back over to you. One question, you said the flash the latest file back into ECM. Where is the clean file? Am I creating that from insite?
