When using CT you always need the ECFG file. It won't let you do anything without it. You don't necessarily need the exact match but you need something. Cummins isn't going to send you an .xcal update file. CT is engineering software and not meant for the average Joe to have (even though we do) you won't even see CT software being used at cummins certified repair shops. They most likely sent you an incal file, for those you need the newest insite program OR follow the instructions in Rawze's post on this thread, but you'll still need an ECFG. What engine are you working on??
