Air beak stop/tail switch.. No air after cab swap

The air manifold block running into . out from the cab firewall is not straight through. There are cross-connections built within it that are hidden.

It also sounds like you got a cab that was newer (or older) and had a different manifold with slightly different cross-channels inside it. - Just a guess.

It is likely that you need the diagram for that year/make model truck, and the diagram for the original one. - The diagrams will also each show the wiring and connections differences between the 2 engine options if they were available in that year model.

- Personally, I would have replaced the whole thing with a newer model truck with a red engine in it if it was that badly damaged. - There is no reason for people to keep torturing themselves by hanging onto the past, pushing freight down the roads with those old old yellow motors these days. Those old engines and square nose trucks are far less fuel efficient and are quite a bit less profitable long term, than anything build in the last 15 years or so ... especially when comparing them to red engines that are properly cared for.

This is only my own opinion, as I am here to make the highest long term profit margins possible by driving operating costs down as much as possible, and not trying to do so by hang onto the past, as it is nothing but yesterdays stale bread at this point.
