issues with nexiq connecting to insite

I have had problems with aftermarket inline connections like geo tabs between 9 pin and chassis. Sometimes disconnecting them will help if the device tester is showing comm with engine but insite will not connect. Usually when this happens, I try to go straight to the engine and bypass the chassis with a two/three pin to 9pin adapter. HTH
