RE: fault code 1843
Suspects ...

* The sensor could be bad.

* The wiring to the sensor could be bad.

* The breather tube from it could be clogged that goes out to the bottom of your engine. Dirt dobbers and wasps like to build nests in them sometimes. Same thing with the breather tubes for your rear differentials, etc. Then people wonder why they blow and axle seal.

* The problem could also be legitimate -- (most of the time this is the case when your getting alarms). it could be excessive blow-by OR the filter could be clogging up fast because of coolant intrusion into the engine.

If your loosing coolant and the underside of the filter cover has greenish slime on it (even if you have red coolant), or is slimy,.. it is coolant intrusion.

You could have excessive blow-by from ...
---- Worn out or carbon-packed engine/piston rings.
---- A hole burned through one or more of your pistons.
---- Bad turbocharger putting pressure into the crank case.
---- Bad air compressor putting pressure into the crank case.
