I have Meritor rear ends, and it was around six gallons for both, 3 gallons each, if my memory serves me right... I was thinking of doing this myself, but wound up taking her up the street to the TA, $70 a diff with Mobil One Synthetic. I can't buy the fluid for that price. This was just the other day, and about fell over when they told me $140 for both axles, I said do it!

And check your front drive axle, many of us have a filter up there. If your axle is dirty, you will never see it... I picked one up at my International dealer for around $7. It was a FleetGuard filter.
