| RE: oil thermostat temperature question I know of no advantage to it. 235 ensures moisture is kept driven off, 215 easily masks any issues you would have with the engine, like excess internal friction, etc. Even with High HP applications, the second element is far more important that trying to use a lower temp thermostat.
