Increasing HorsePower -- What You Need To Know

ok, looking at service history, looks like the ECM was replaced by dealership. I am guessing this is why I am having conflicting info. According to Insite Features and parameters:

DO Option - 94193
ECM Code -EB90237.08
SC Option - 92727
ECM Name - CM2350A
ECM Part# - 5290170
ECM Serial# - 3056443
Control Parts List - 4780

According to Quickserve:

ECM Code - EB90021
CPL # - 3664

ok, so there was an SCR TSB on the truck and part of that was updating the CPL from 3664 to 4780. Now I need to compare EB90237.8 to EB90222.08 to see if they are compatible. any suggestions?

The TSB is 'tsb150105' and it shows what program it should be updated to.

Program EB90021 is your original program for that engine according to its ser#. The TSB shows EB90237 and a new CPL of CPL4780.

Your ECM information/program is correct assuming that you have the updated SCR canister. Might want to check/verify the part# on the SCR element to be sure.

As far as comparing EB90237 with EB90222 (looking at 16,484 parameters/settings in the program) ...

Literally, the only thing different in the EB90222 program is the higher power/torque. Besides some mundane data-plate options that have no effect on engine, All else is the same.

P.S. - i recently just fire ringed a ISX with Cryogenic Bolts. Being the first ISX i did it turned out great and honestly that setup is stout and if i owned my personal truck i would do it to it. much beefier than OEM fire rings and the install was easy and very inexpensive. maybe 1000 bucks more than stock. time will tell how it holds up but from just the materials used and my general opinon on the install i believe it will eliminate most head gasket issues on a ISX. just food for thought

When you guys cut these I watched rawze video and he adding a shim there after there cut to achieve his end .014. So there's now 2 shims installed is there a way to pull the shim off the bottom of the liner and have a new one made in my case .010 where the surface looks great and the protrusion doesn't vary could .004 be added to the making of the new shim in the making of that new shim and achieve the same goal?

The hard part is finding the material that is the exact thickness you want. More than likely you will have to get your shims then cut block accordingly.

Who's rebuilding it? There are some very specific procedures to follow when rebuilding an isx if you want it to be reliable and last, especially if you're looking for big horsepower.

If it is getting rebuilt, I am sure there will be some assemblence of warranty by the shop doing the work... only they can decide the answer to your question... ask them... and if they put a different program in it, find out what program that is and I will be happy to tell you if it is fully compatible or not.
