I figured as much. Rawze taught me years ago that even silcon based boards and things exposed to vibration and heat cycles will just naturally age and become brittle. They too have a life span and will need replaced. It is better to do it long before you get stuck in a situation like mine at home on your time. This whole ordeal cost around $5k.
$850 to get towed out of the dock
$4300 for the ECM and base programming ($600 core comes off when i return it)
$250 for the assistance on my programming
$160 + for the night in a hotel and gas for the very annoyed wife that had to bring the parts to me

And this was the cheapest route. I did all the work and diagnostics. I couldn't image what a stealership or worse yet the bounce around from shop to shop would cost as they tried to diag this thing.

I even spoke to a guy that the tow company recommended for swapping my programming, that guy tried to sell me on a "very mild 650HP delete tune that all his customers love" for my truck. This guy couldn't believe that i was completely happy with my custom 480 HP that I would gladly take a hair lower if it would boost properly in my truck.
