RE: CM2350 factory file comparrisons... (12-01-2023 )FLdriver Wrote: 2016 (early 15 build) program EF10113 vs. EF10294 ... == Program EF10294 allows for more drift in speed during cruise control operations. == Intelligent coast manager feature is on in the EF10294 and off in the other one. == Load based speed control clamps at 1500 rpm on the EF10294 and at 1650 rpm on the EF10113. - Everyone hates load based speed control because it makes the truck feel weak/gutless when lightly loaded.. because it holds back power, simulating that your heavy all the time. BTW: it is turned ON in both programs. == The Smart-torque 1 feature is turned ON in the EF10294 and OFF in the EF10113 program. Many people do not like this feature of the engine, as it drops torque after about 30 seconds of hard engine acceleration or when climbing a hill. == The Smart-torque 2 feature is turned OFF on the EF10294 and ON in the EF10113 program. Many people do not like this feature. ST2 is applied by the estimated weight of vehicle and its load (determined by how hard it is to climb hill, how hard its driven, etc.). It effects load based speed control (that thing everyone hates where their truck feels like it pulls good when heavy, but feels like it can't get out of its own way when light), driver reward system, and fuel economy control system. == The 'Inpower' option select is set for 'Smart torque 2' - assisted power/fuel reduction on the EF10294, and it is disabled in the EF10113 program. I.E.> The EF10294 uses Smart Torque 2, and the EF10113 uses Smart Torque 1. == As far as power goes.. the EF10294 is actually set to 485HP@1600rpm. The EF10113 program is set to 425HP@1700RPM. Both programs are set about 10hp above their advertised settings. Other than that, pretty much everything else is the same. RE: CM2350 factory file comparrisons... So I realize I have insite 8.5 And I can't seem to find the calibration files for this one. Cummins website only has the calibration files for 8.8 and higher. Does anyone know where I can get what is needed for my for my version of insite? (PM please).

RE: CM2350 factory file comparrisons... Hello, I found this site after some Google searching and I am impressed by the plethora of information available. I am looking for an ecm calibration code, currently have a 400 hp/1650 tq engine and would want to compare a 450/1750 file or a 475/1750 or so. I believe that this Truck can handle up to a 500 file without hard part changes, but I don't want to get to the point where we are sacrificing fuel economy/reliability for power. Truck is an old JB hunt truck with 370k miles on a CM2350A ecm. (x15 efficiency) All the emissions are intact, just want a little more grunt to maintain speeds. My guys don't go faster than 65-70 but loosing speeds on even small hills is a bummer, especially since I frequently do OSOW. Info from Cummins parts- Marketing Model Name X15 400SA Service Model Name X15 CM2350 X114B CPL # 4342 ECM Code HD10313 But will confirm the file currently on the Truck this week when it comes back from otr Thanks!!

RE: CM2350 factory file comparrisons... Having worked for JBHunt I know they like to play with some of the settings in the ECM "for efficiency". Driver rewards, cruise droop (i think that was the name), etc.. Also, last I knew was back in 2015 they were spec'ing their trucks with 2.90ish rears and 10 speed manual's. Back then all the trucks were governed at 62 but they were letting the driver rewards boost you up to 64 if you got higher fuel mileage. That kind of combination will never zoom up a hill. I didn't care for the freightliners they tried back then, although those Prostar+'s were pretty nice to drive. Not sure what specs you have on your trucks, but JBHunt liked their fleet to be mostly uniform and interchangeable so they could move equipment between accounts. RE: CM2350 factory file comparrisons... I do have to check on the rear ends, but this one is set up with an automatic. Drives like a car and my brother in law seems to like it better then the cascadia he was driving before.
