I've got a CEL for egr out of calibration on a cm2350. Anybody have experience with this one? Can I disassemble and clean or is it toast?

I took it off and it didn't look all that bad. Cleaned it up but it still threw a 1896 and 2272 FC. Took a closer look into the top side of the valve and it looks like the board got a little hot where the terminals are soldered in. Peterbilt said $1049, I said no thanks and got one from a buddy who had a delete done.
I've been switching back and forth between a cal. that shuts it off thinking it wouldn't matter. Lesson learned, gonna have to figure out how to isolate the valve until I'm ready to do away with it.
