Steer tires wear

Hey guys, I've never been good at reading tire wear so I'm wondering if some of you could help me out here. This is my steer tires looking towards the rear of the truck. I rotate approx every 50,000 miles and run 100 psi all the way around. The tires have 136,000 miles on them so far. I've started to notice a bit of a shake in the truck but it's hard to say if it's coming from the front end.
My drives have 160,000 miles and still look new. Any ideas? The first pic is the pass side and the second is the driver side, like I said, looking towards the rear. Thanks again guys.

I try to change shocks every 50,000 but in reality, about 75 to 100,000. I'm not using anything special eather, just a Paccar shock rated for 2 years 200,000 miles from peterbuilt dealet.

This happened to me on my driver side after about 20k use of goodyear G395.

When I got new tires I did both king pins and alignment since the tires cost so much, I was told to do everything.
I went back to the place I got the G395 and the guy took it off and put on a new one 396 or 397 I dont remember.

He said he got a bad batch or something and this was happening to a few of his customers. Still charged me $50 mount and dismount + fees. I will not use Goodyear anymore.

I agree on the Goodyear, I never had any luck with them tires and I think there a crap tire.
I'm running the Bridgestone R283'S, they are a tall rubber and also a bit more heavy duty because I allways run a bit heavy up front. I've had pretty good luck in the past with the 283. The wear seems to be on the outside on both sides so maybe it is towed in too much, not sure.
Seems to go down the road straight but feels a bit rough sometimes.

Michelin steers is all our company uses. Excellent wear, I'm starting to get some pretty bad wear on them from my bad shocks but I got well over 200k miles on them. Closer to 300 by the time I have to replace them..

Truck hasn't been aligned in years and they don't get rotated.

I second the vote for Michelin. The xza3's
are the best tire I've ever used. There unidirectional so I never rotate them and I've never had any funny wear pattern out of them. Just a darn good tire.

Michelen X Line Energy 275/80/22.5 steer tire blown out on a 2015, KW T680, MX 13 with a 10 spd Uktrashift transmission.

That tire blew out today, truck is driven by one of my family members. The trailer runs super singles Michelen X.

Over the last few years I've been in the Loves tire shops, TA tire shops and Kram tire shops and seen piles of Michelens, Bridgestones, Yokohomas and Goodyears and Chinese tires too; piled up on the side of the shops; all of them big boy name brands blown apart too.

I think it comes down to having good luck on the production run of the tires you buy and the quality of the suspension and alignment on your own truck.

I had virgin Yokohomas all the way around on my truck when I picked it up. Put about 60,000 mi on it and the steer tires were shot pretty much. Drives are doing good, but the steers didn't last at all. No frontend issues and would keep them at 100psi. Put some X Line Energys on and centrimatics as well.

Hoping I was delt a lucky hand on the production of these Michelens. Had this done about a month or two ago, so it's pretty early yet to see any wear.
