X15 questions
If you were looking at a new truck would you get the higher compression performance series or the lower compression efficiency series if you were gona see if uni could put a legal efficiency tune on with say a 500 1750-1850 rating. Which one would achieve the better efficiency with the uni magic.

Spose I'm more or less putting this question towards Unilever if he sees it.

I would go with lower static compression. Less stress on heads, gaskets and liners. As i understand it with lower compression u can run a little higher advance and a bit more boost.

RE: X15 questions
I could be wrong but I don't think the compression ratio is different by enough to make much difference between the two.

RE: X15 questions
If the cams are the same probably not a lot of difference either way.

RE: X15 questions
The 2 versions of x15 are not the same. 500hp and less is considered the economy motor and more is the performance motor. The performance motor has stronger internal parts including the driveline. My brother has a 2018 kw 900 with performance motor at 565 horsepower and he's really happy with it. Do a bit more research before buying and good luck

Please do not make statements like that based solely on assumptions or opinions alone (or perhaps re-regurgitated crap off social medai sites). here are the actual differences ...

x15 mid-tier (X15 CM2350 X114B – Efficiency Series. 450hp engine was referenced)...

----overhead cam: 3690406
----pistons: 3691387
----connecting Rods: 3689108
----Block: BB1958-assy (casting 4311621)
----crank: 3691444-assy (3691443 crank w/o tone rings, etc.)
----head: PP10489 (4101454 exhaust valves, 3685996 intake valves )
----injectors: PP10425

x15 big tier (X15 CM2350 X116B - Productivity Series. 605hp engine was referenced) ...
----overhead cam: 3690406
----pistons: 3691713
----connecting Rods: 3689108
----Block: BB1950-assy (casting 5440753)
----crank: 3691444-assy (3691443 crank w/o tone rings, etc.)
----head: PP10490 (3686661 exhaust valves, 3685996 intake valves )
----injectors: PP10425

x15 big-tier (X15 CM2350 X116B - Performance Series. 565hp).
----overhead cam: 3690406
----pistons: 3691713
----connecting Rods: 3689108
----Block: BB1950-assy. (casting 5440753)
----crank: 5440758-assy (5440757 crank w/o tone rings, etc.).
----head: PP10490 (3686661 exhaust valves, 3685996 intake valves )
----injectors: PP10425

What is actually same ...
----Overhead cam =- same
----Connecting rods =- same
----block =- same between the Efficiency and Productivity series.
----crank =- same between the Efficiency and Productivity series.
----injectors =- same
----Intake valves on head =- same

What is actually different ...
----head =- different (due to different exhaust valves only)

----pistons =- Performance AND Productivity series has the different (due to slightly different compression ratio) than the efficiency series.

----block =- Performance series has Slightly shorter and heavier than the one used on the Productivity/efficency series engines.

----crank =- Performance series has Slightly shorter and heavier than the one used on the Productivity/efficency series engines.

RE: X15 questions
Do you think the difference in exhaust valve is size or the amount of heat it can take or both.
