RE: oil filters
JimT you do realize that if a grease zerk doesn’t take grease you will never know until it’s to late. I would hit it myself with a grease gun ever once in a while just to make sure everything is taking grease.

Thx for input. Extreme ? is that the brands official name? yeah im gonna stick to fleetguard. Also i believe those that are using gear oil in there engines. Im still on the fence about it.

I've been ordering all my filters from a site called partandfilters.com. Seem to have decent deals on genuine Fleetguard filters. I.E.- just ordered 3 oil filters (LF14000NN), 2 fuel filters (FF 5776), and 2 fuel/water sep. (FS 19764). The price was 215.00 to the door.

Does not sound bad at all.

I wouldn’t use gear oil if still running emissions. No need for more ash in the dpf. That’s the only negative.

They have a refinery like 20 minutes up the road from me. At work we use Xtreme engine oil and gear lubes.

I have yet to find a grease gun end that will last. When new they are tight, have to back them off just a tad to be able to get them back off the grease fitting. Didn't take long and grease is coming out the sides when you are trying to grease.

Usually when a grease fitting doesn't want to take grease it is because it hasn't been greased enough. See this slot in machines that work in the dirt.

Let us know how the grease gun end works out.
