Prostar boost sensor? ??
My 08 Prostar doesn't have a boost guage or a pyro. O want to add a boost guage and was hoping to put a factory one in. I looked at a co workers 09 and for the life of me, I can't find a sensor on his motor that isn't on mine...

I'm wondering if the turbo intake temp doubles as a boost pressure and maybe I can just plug a guage into my dash. .... does anyone have any insight into this?

The IMAP is the boost sensor, and every truck has one. The gauge should plug in no problem but You might have to turn the gauge on using that international diamond logic software

Why go stock? The gauge is around $250 without the gauge face, the face is an extra charge. You can buy a nicer aftermarket one for half the price.

I prefer stock. I'll buy one from a wrecker for less then half.

Just to let you know. Most people who have stock gauge don't think it is too good. It has a lot of delay (3+ second or more), and it reads off the ECM and not the actual raw values of the IMAP sensor.

Myself, I have a prostar, and prefer a glo-shift gauge off amazon myself. Much more responsive and does not read from the ECM, but rather its own sensor separate.

That is my take on it anyways. Just thought you should know what you are getting into there.

I wish we could replace all the gauges with GloShift.
7 color options with the push of a button.

I think the boost gauge was $60?, Pyro $150

Will those gauges fit in the stock locations in a prostar, I have a space where 4 gauges could be placed. I would like to keep the stock look, and not have to cut any holes in the dash.

Had to buy a hole saw bit and cut them a little to fit. not much but had to be done.
