The Diesel-Doctor strikes again... I can only assume that someone was not lying to me when they said that this 'Diesel Doctor' guy is who made this program. The message sent to me was ... Quote:... Here is what was seen in the program sent to me... <> Before even considering any (delete) program modifications, there is an issue with what program has been installed in the engine overall. The engine is supposed to have program EF10054 in it and not EF10064. These 2 programs are NOT compatible with each other. <> program EF10064 is not compatible with this engine for the following reasons ... == There are serious SCR and DPF unit incompatibilities in the program. If this program was used prior to the engine being deleted, then This would have resulted in some serious DPF and SCR problems for the vehicle owner all on its own. However ... deleted or not ... == The EF10064 program is assuming incompatible intake and exhaust piping flow rates. It is meant for a different vehicle with different intake piping, a different CAC unit, and different exhaust flow. This typically causes slight to moderate efficiency/fuel mileage and other issues over time with the engine. == The EF10064 program assumes that there is no ‘Intake Air Throttle’ device on the engine, where the original programming does. This means that any installed intake throttle device from the factory will partially shut on its own, choking the engine randomly, when under hard operating loads, unless this device was physically removed from the intake. == The EF10064 program is assuming an engine with a completely different compression ratio. This typically causes slight to moderate efficiency/fuel mileage and other losses in the engine, and can lead to eventual engine damage (things like cracked head, hole in piston, accelerated valve seat wear, liner failure or excess vibration, etc). == The EF10064 program assumes a different model turbocharger has been installed. This will over-spool the existing turbocharger and cause a shortened turbocharger lifespan. It will also lead to unstable boost in the engine at times due to improper turbocharger mapping and programming. <> Conclusion: Ignoring any power/torque differences … These 2 programs are absolutely not compatible with each other at all… either on a factory-stock engine with its emissions in tact ..OR .. on a deleted engine. The incompatibilities are dangerous for the engine and its turbocharger and will shorten the lifespan of BOTH. Also, the program will be less than optimal on fuel efficiency, costing the vehicle owner, perhaps thousands of $$$ per year in unnecessary fuel expenses. Added expenses like this and eventual expensive repairs to the engine are counter-productive to any trucking operation. -=== I will review the delete program itself in the next reply ==- User's Signature: ->: What I post is just my own thoughts and Opinions! --- I AM Full Of S__T!.

RE: The Diesel-Doctor strikes again... <> Issues found in the delete program itself… == NO engine operating mode control re-mapping was done whatsoever. This is one of the biggest and most common mistakes that bad delete programs will usually have in them… AND is absolutely the most harmful to the engine and its turbocharger. Leads to eventual failures such as … cracked head, liner dancing in the block, failed head gasket, cracked piston, repeating turbocharger failures and problems, snapped crank, and several other issues that are related to this perpetual state of internal engine torture… All almost always while the vehicle owner swears “it seems to run smooth” with a completely false assumption that everything must be OK. == All EGR gas request and assumption logic is still present in the engine. The ecm is not smart enough to adjust itself at all based on the fact the egr gas is now missing due to the egr-valve simply being switched off. It will run the cylinders too lean + use too far advanced injection timing, causing harm to the cylinders and pistons. This usually leads to a dropped liner/head gasket failure after a few years or less. == None of the auxiliary (fall-back) emissions systems have been switched off. This is going to do bad things with injection timing and fuel-air-mix causing the engine to not have an optimal power/torque response, etc. - This should have been switched off as part of the delete process, so that the engine does not try to control emissions directly by altering combustion in ways that is harmful to the cylinders over time. == The injection timing has not been corrected for any non-egr engine operations. The ecm is not smart enough, nor will make any corrections for the missing egr gas, or the improper operating modes. Again, this is harmful. == The engines power/torque curve has been completely destroyed. The engine is not set to what the advertised values show in Insite software any longer. It is actually set to try to make the engine produce more than 940HP and 2360-ft-lb. torque. - These kinds of ridiculous numbers will absolutely tear up this engine!. <> There are a lot of other issues with the program as well. The delete program is significantly harmful and is moderately incomplete. It appears as if someone was playing ‘poke-and-go’ guessing at a lot of it. - It is clearly someone’s handy work that has no clue how these modern diesel engines. RE: The Diesel-Doctor strikes again... I'm also curious what state. There is a diesel doctor near me that I've talked about a time or two with blown up things. PM me if you don't what it public.

RE: The Diesel-Doctor strikes again... Not gonna swear it’s the same guy but there is a guy from Illinois that calls himself diesel doctor. Has a website for tuning. I’ve never seen his work personally though. The fact that he advertises all makes and models pretty much tells you how good his shi#t is though.

I called him to settle up my bill and he was somewhere with a super load broke down. He said the pipes blew off the turbo. I asked and he said it was a red engine, I remarked it was a bad delete. He didn't understand so I briefly explained bad deletes. He called me back and said that the driver said that yes it was deleted but it's right because this big place did it
