RE: Losing prime overnight/fuel pressure problem Thanks Rawze. Yeah it's commanding 29,000 but it won't pass 13,000 at idle during the test. Also, how much rail pressure should you see when turning over the engine? The measured pressure (on InSite) is only about 700psi when turning over...but won't fire. Someone told me it should be higher than that?

RE: Losing prime overnight/fuel pressure problem Pulled the top off the pump and found a broken spring. The plunger under that spring was recessed. When pulled out and put back in...it would push in and wouldn't pop back up.

RE: Losing prime overnight/fuel pressure problem After closer inspection, I can't get the tappets out of the bottom side of the pump. One is tight and doesn't appear to have a roller on it. The other will move freely up and down but won't come out.

Do you think I have to worry about steel shavings in my oil? The broken spring matches up when I piece it together and the plungers were in great condition. I'm mostly worried about where that roller from the tappet went.
