Inline six Chinese adapter insite

Hello to everyone, new here as a member but have been reading and learning here for quite a while and am fortunate for the knowledge I have learned. I have an 05 ISX cm870 and have been chasing a few problems. I'm going to get a standard laptop solely for this purpose, turn off the antivirus stuff, etc. I was planning to get the adapter I listed below, which claims it comes with 7.6 software for Windows7 and 8.7 software for windows 10. From what I have searched and read here, this seems to be correct but I just wAnted to verify before I purchase. Thanks!

Yes that should work just fine. Mine has lasted a few years with zero issues.
