The baffle itself is used to help evenly disburse the exhaust flow across the DOC.

I suppose it would depend on how much of it had broken out, and how unevenly the exhaust flow would likely become, before I did anything about it.

Just got my filter baked and found the same piece laying inside my DOC too. Hasn't harmed anything.

Just got this code , truck started acting crazy today , truck would jerk and sputter when up shifting once in gear it will rev up , it happens mostly below 1500 rpms
Doesn't matter if loaded or empty, especially in gears 7,8 &9
.
Recently did clutch job the whole thing , rear structure reseal and etc... at first I'm thinking clutch was slipping , but having seen code now I'm having second thoughts.

Also NO CEL light is on dash for code 2692.

Prior to putting truck on the road I did an egr tune up and cleaned crossover pipe.

Also truck is doing Regens every 100 hrs the last one yesterday was at 110 hrs , after regen egr differential pressure was reading 1.3 in hg .

maybe it needs a new engine harness?.

is there an e-log or other device on the network acting up ?... or maybe drive it with it unplugged and see if it acts up?.

No elog , there is a GPS module with a GPS fault light , but light is not on .would code 2692 cause the truck to jerk and rev like it didn't catch a gear ?
