These are compatible with it...

-- AV10181.xx (475-HP) (CPL 2732) - AV10234 for newer DPF Style.
-- AV10183.xx (475-HP) (CPL 2732) - AV10236 for newer DPF Style. Same as AV10181.xx but with extra torque in the 1100-1400 RPM band.

I need more torque, the Smartorque is dumb for what I do, and what I want is a straight torque rating with a little more power since the Volvo doesn't let the engine breathe. I am thinking a high torque/485hp rating, the driveline can handle up to 1850 torque.

I drove an 07 IH 8600 that had a stock 425 hp ISM pulling a 40 van, 65000 gvw that did the job real good.
In a motorhome it would be a hot number! And it got up to 9.5 mpg when light without any aero treatment except for a shorty roof top fairing.

I was comparing a 10057 and a 10183 file and one of the parameters that differed was the fuel pump calibration. The 10057 had a P600 and the 10183 had a P821. Are these pump calibrations compatible or is that something else that needs to be looked at when considering changing calibrations?

Comparing more than 7,000+ settings between the two files against each other reveals the following...

* The transition from "city mode"/"highway mode" transition requirements are sightly different. The truck will have to be going down the highway for a few moments longer before switching from one mode to the other. This is pretty common to see in the calibrations as hp goes up.


* The higher HP cal (10183) has a 6% lower fueling limits that can be imposed on it vs inlet density (altitude and boost levels). Even so, it is still ABOVE what the engine actually requests for the 475 HP it is set to. -- Pretty much means that it will have no overall effect, except to maybe have a slightly cleaner fuel-air mixture at high altitudes.

* the 10183 has a higher max allowance to provide more fuel to the cylinders at the 1500-1600 rpm range only. All other max allowances are identical.

* Obviously the torque curves are slightly different,.. the 10183 has more HP, but it is mainly in the 1500+ RPM range. In lower RPM ranges, they are so very close to each other that I doubt anyone could tell any difference in power below 1500 RPM. someone driving the truck before,.. then after would not be able to tell anything different (they would only be fooling themselves if they thought otherwise) until they get it up into the 1500+ rpm range, where they would likely report that it pulls a tiny bit better up there. For example, at 1400 rpm, there is only 9 HP difference. At 1500 rpm, it jumps up by 25-HP more.


* some of the data-plate info and product internal options are listed as slightly different (like the fuel pump cal. info), but the data-plate info/settings have no effect whatsoever on how the engine operates at all.

-=- There is noting else in the file except for the settings that "say" it is a 475 hp program, etc. but these as well have no effect on how the engine operates whatsoever.

I have this a 2011 isx 450hp/1650tq can't find cm number on valve , but cpl 3719. I'm looking to see if I can get help to make some more power, and make the thing run "right" without the EPA. I do not have the insite yet. What are some options? If I knew where to go for help and tuning. Also how long after a inframe is recommended its been about 4,000 miles since fixed after liners dropped due to carbon build up. I'm open to any suggestions. Not familiar with def trucks, or isx. Thank you.
