RE: New EPA rules I been following it. Look for what happens with the “transportation freedom act”. It’s going to have what we need to make business decisions I think. It should be in the senate this week or next.

RE: New EPA rules - I know someone that got a recall notice with bold red lettering all over it for their nissan pickup (with red engine) today in the mail. It essentially says immediate recall .. to take it to nearest stealers$it due to CARB and they need to 'make it more secure' via ecm recall and updates. That vehicle is paid for, it does not have to adhere to that absolute bulls$it. As far as the owner is concerned, they said that nisaan can pry that ecu out of their cold de&^%ad hands. I guess someone somewhere finally figured out that the (diesel version) nissan engines were not locked out, and were wide open for anyone to do anything they want with them, unlike the dodge pickups were. I guess they now want to go back and retroactively fix this...lol. User's Signature: ->: What I post is just my own thoughts and Opinions! --- I AM Full Of S__T!.

Glad the owner knows what he has and didn’t get tricked into voluntary slavery.

It should be up to the owner to decide what he or she does. But the big corporations are leaning that since the car has lots of software you need to accept the terms and conditions of their "EULA". https://www.thetruthaboutcars.com/cars/n...s-44508289 Luckily as of now there is no monthly subscription to use the ECM software on cars yet... Around here in Europe if you refuse to have those recall software updates done to "your" car then car will not pass regular inspection anymore and it would be illegal to drive the vehicle on public roads until you get that software updated. If you go to dealership to get update done you MUST sign papers that tell, that they bear absolutely ZERO responsibility if ECM gets bricked or something else of that kind happens. And all the hype of AI nowadays, most likely governments are going to use it for surveillance. 1984 is going to be the reality sooner than later.

RE: New EPA rules States in the US can choose to not allow you to renew your registration if there is a recall from the manufacturer that they deemed important enough.

RE: New EPA rules $3000.00........ I suppose you could get a $600 one from alibaba but I doubt you could get it to work right long enough to get it back from the dealer without issues.
