2012 CM2250 total demandate questions
As the title states, I run a 2012 Kw with a ISX15 2250. It has be total de-mandated. No EGR, No VGT turbo, its all gone. Truck usually runs great, with an average mpg of 6.7. Never over heats. We did an inframe on it last summer.
10k miles after the rebuild, it started trying to make 40+ psi of boost, this was sudden. Today while driving it, it almost seems like it is having some turbo lag issues, then tries to boost sky high. This may sound odd, but the truck has always black smoked pretty good. When this change happened today the smoke cut way down and the mpg actually went up from 6.7 to 6.9 mpg. I've got it in the shop now going to test the CAC and all the boots, but I was reading that the wastegate could need adjusting. Also, not sure if it related, but it only has stage 1 and 2 jakes, no difference on breaking power with the switch in position 2 or 3. Any ideas on that?
We have insite and a good laptop, but I've not had a chance to try and pull the ECU program yet.

RE: 2012 CM2250 total demandate questions
You have a really bad demandate program in your ECM and an even worse turbo bolted to the engine. There isn't one damn thing anybody can do to help you until you put the proper turbo back on the engine so the ECM can have control over the fuel air mix again.

Your cutting your engine life in half by running it like you are. You might as well put sand in your oil and I'm not exaggerating even a little.

RE: 2012 CM2250 total demandate questions
It can be de-mandated properly, but what you have there is the complete opposite or "properly". Unless you want to put back that VGT turbo and undo that complete trash-can of a falf-arssed delete, then no one here can help you. You seem to not realize that you keep tearing up a $40,000 commercial engine with red-neck, garbage can mods.

The red engines use that VGT turbo to set the proper fuel-air-mix.. and to control the enigne brake properly. - By slapping on some garbage can turbo that the ecm cannot control, you essentially cut the engine life in half due to complete lack of fuel-air-control mix (and therefore loss of internal friction control) by the ecm. Dropped liners, and all sorts of other repeating expensive failures is you future.

== Gather up all the parts to put the VGT back right + any other important engine sensors it still needs.

== Copy the program out of the ecm and e-mail it to me for a review of how bad it likely is.
