Insite fault codes
So my insite constantly throws codes 5200 and 5204
I have two inline 6 adapter and it does it on both swapped cables and all.
Is this a problem with my computer usb I’ve tried them all same result. Or the plug on my truck?
Very irritating when it loses connection all the time
Thanks

RE: Insite fault codes
Yes I would suspect the usb port. I'm guessing your computer only has 1 ??

could be a lot of things including e-log device interference, etc.

RE: Insite fault codes
if your computer is not fast enough, or you have anti-virus software installede that is scanning the usb all the time, you will get connection issues too.

RE: Insite fault codes
try re-installing your drivers for the adapter you are using... sometimes my nexiq gives me hell trying to connect with insite and i have to restart the service for it.

RE: Insite fault codes
Check each pin in the 9 pin connector under the dash and make sure one of them isn’t pushed in, I had that happen on one of my trucks and I was getting the same error codes. Or if you have a harness to connect to the deutsch connector right on the engine you could try that, if it works you know all your hardware is fine and it’s something with the truck.

RE: Insite fault codes
I never thought of trying the engine connector to see if I had the same
Results normally I’m driving checking things when I have the problem the most probably should have stated that as well
Thanks
