RE: 2250 Carnage Pictures
HA! seriously....Yeah I saw that the manual on quickserve had said that too. "don't remove barrels from the head" I did the same, put it in the vise, slapped on the 1& 3/8 (A awful long wrench mind you) grabbed ahold and holy crap it wouldn't budge. Added a long breaker bar, and cohersed it off. But, I can't help ya on the torque. Wish I could, but mine was just an exploratory tear down on the old 3 cylinder head, curiosity more then anything.

RE: 2250 Carnage Pictures
i have the spec here somewhere. its 80ftlbs plus 60ish degrees i think but i will have to verify.

the kit with the plungers, tappets, and barrels fits both the 3 and 2 cyl pump. i dont know why cummins has such a hard time with this!! I still see 3 cyl pumps fail with updated parts though, so fair warning on that.

Unilevers: thanks for the info. Glad to know the kit is compatible. I am going to do some searching and see what I can find for a gear pump. Maybe some online parts house will still have a new one laying around......hey stranger things have happened, right?

If the ceramic plungers are changed, then what is the next failure on the three cyl pump?
Thanks for the torque info, when you locate it I'd appreciate if you would email the procedure to me. CWC Edmonton couldn't provide one, go figure.

I found video at quickserve saying 60ft lbs and 60 degrees.

Also barrels and plungers for 2250 and 2350 have different part number and they cannot be mixed. Installing incorrect barrels and plungers will result excess fuel in the oil
