Jim P***s is exactly what's wrong with trucking today
First off, I watch every single video he put's on YouTube and I like a lot of them but it has become apparent that he is a prime example of what's going wrong out here and why you will never catch me buying a fleet truck.

First thing to keep in mind is the whole push for fuel efficiency comes at a cost of durability in most cases. These manufacturer's can do all sorts of crap to make the engines more "efficient" and lots of the time they do this by skimping in other areas. Manufacturers no longer need to make long lasting products, nor do they want to. Why would paccar want to make a million mile engine when they can make a 400k mile one and sell you more product quicker? in the old days it was because people would go elsewhere but now they have a scape goat....... epa regs can be blamed at every corner and engine companies have to take no blame for sub part products.

thinner oil, lugging engines and changes In engine components are not always a good thing. Watching this Jim P***s guy make's me realize that he is geared more towards fleets and fleets can abuse the piss out of their trucks because they trade them in real early..... just in time for some unsuspecting owner operator to come along and buy a engine about to drop a liner from being lugged.

This truck feels real nice pulling this 80,000lbs load, the response is great. I bet we can get amazing fuel mileage out of this thing! Unlike other engines, in this one you can run a 0w5 oil and you only have to change it before you sell it to the next guy. Pulling this hill feels good but I tell you what, This automatic transmission wants to downshift. .. forget what 1 billion dollars of r&d from some of the most educated and brilliant minds have decided the shift point should be, instead why don't you.. the uneducated fleet driver who doesn't even know what motor is under the hood and just got your cdl last week cause you got fired from burger King for eating burnt fries from the deep frier. .. Yes you. Why don't you decide when this thing should shift!

Just go ahead and lug this baby down all the way cause at 600rpm, that's when VTEC will kick in on this 1.6L fucking Honda Motor pulling this thing. Oh that sound your hearing?? no that's not the pistons slapping and the liners banging out of place, that's this new high tech compression booster that all make it so you can lug er down to 450rpm!

Oh Dont worry about the other drivers your holding up on every god damn hill cause your only doing 10mph while they are doing 50! cause your saving fuel.
