| RE: older truck vs newer truck If you really want a Peterbilt, the 386 has full access to the engine, setback axle and dropped hood. Setback axle was a must have for us because I've had 285" wb and had to get into tight spots,which is most of them. 386 is the same as 389 except for item mentioned. I would buy another one.
