Cm2250 boost pressure fault
I recently purchased a 2012 t660 with an isx15 Cm2250, I am getting an engine light for boost pressure fault. My first thought is to clean or replace the IMAP sensor but for the life of me cannot figure out where it is located. The only information I can find anywhere is for the Cm871 engine. Any help on where to find the IMAP and other sensors like delta p on my Cm2250 would be greatly appreciated.

There are no sensors on the drivers side intake manifold on my engine that I can find. I have found many pictures of the pressure and temp sensors for the Cm871 on top of the intake manifold, and my 2250 looks nothing like that . The only thing I can find on the intake manifold is a flat sensor on top of the manifold that slides in horizontally towards the rear of truck. Is there supposed to be a separate pressure and temp sensor? Do they thread in? I am going crazy trying to find these sensors.

I'm not sure is it the same. The best way to go open an account www. cummins quikserve it's free
type in box you engine serial number and enjoy with parts#, how to and other very useful information.

Elaborating for those who have never seen this.. Thanks Snailexpress for the photo.

The sensor itself slides down into a hole underneeth. It likes to break, it is plastic. Try to lift it up out of the hole straight.

As seen in the pic above, it is not really possible to clean them once they start to read incorrectly as the pressure part of the sensor is up in the head of it, and it gets packed with soot and dust. It is a capacitive type of sensor.. so liquids of any kind will screw up its readings.. therefore, if someone uses spray cleaners on it, it tends to still read incorrectly after. It simply needs replacing when it gets really dirty.. or every couple years at most.

and the part numbers. It is the same part numbers for the IMAP and exhaust gas pressure sensors for the CM871, the CM2250, and the CM2350.

The one on the bottom is the IMAP (Intake Manifold Air Pressure Temperature Sensor). The one on the top is the Exhaust gas pressure sensor. You should change that one too if it is just as old.
