cm2250 3375 2639
Hey super tech gurus i'm trying to get this truck fixed correctly can you please help.
2012 Kw cm2250, 1 round went to shop sent out dpf for cleaning, replaced- doser, exhaust back pressure sensor, imap, cleaned egr all components and sensors, mileage is 221,000 hours are 9112 . codes are 3375 2639 -some inactive electrical codes are there from unplugging while key on

ran injector performance test in insite failed after first rev up-fuel decay rate

ran injector leak test. fuel pressure measured is on the right and on the second log i enlarged only that column.

did 3 separate logs
it has the old style fuel pump and the paint on the bolts have never been touched.
cylinder performance test shutting all off except one -seemed cylinder number 4 was a lil different, all others felt good. engine seems to have an extended crank sometimes. engine doesnt run-on at all when shut off so i'm assuming to injectors are ok? looks like the pump is on its way out. my question is will i have these dpf regen issues with a high pressure pump thats on its way out or am i missing something else in the dpf system, ie. exhaust leak, leaking exhaust valve guide seals or skewed pressure or temp sensor in dpf.
thanks in advance for your guys help really appreciate it! special thanks to rawze for creating this wonderful place.
im hear to learn but also know info comes at a cost, im willing to pay to pick your brains so send me a message.

RE: cm2250 3375 2639
Those are some really high numbers in that regen history. If I were messing with it, I would have pulled the DPF and DOC and inspected their faces for contaminations and have them sent off and cleaned and flow tested.

i would check the decomp tube for clogging and/or DEF fluid leakage and inspecting the face of the SCR can too for signs of soot buildup.

With numbers that high,... that engine is not breathing properly and that can cause injector failures and all sorts of other serious engine issues.

RE: cm2250 3375 2639
fuel pressure drop test isn't normal right?

dpf and doc were already sent out to be cleaned and def injector replaced

would my scr temp sensors pick up a clogged scr? scr inlet and outlet temps were steady around 500-550 degrees.

could it be as simple as clogged engine air filters causing high final inhg readings on dpf history? is that where my restriction is?

can you have issues that will show up only under passive regen vrs active? would a restricted scr cause high inhg dpf readings on passive regen only?

...

Most trucks tested will not loose more than a few hundred PSI in 60 seconds when doing a rail leak test. More than about 4,000 PSI in 60 seconds and it definitely has a leaky rail. Could be injectors, could be the pressure relief valve, or even the fuel pump.

I don't own a 2250 so the other questions you are asking, I do not know some of the answers to.

Has anyone checked the Doser injector to see if it is leaking fuel or coolant?

Coolant intrusion to those components wil make the DOC not function properly and wash out its chemicals. It will make it difficult to regen. Similar issues with the SCR can too.

RE: cm2250 3375 2639
Key codes are 3375 and 2639. Last time I seen these codes the ECMs were in need of updating. The guy before me that was a sworn guru never updated the software or did the company buy the ability to update the engine ECM. We didn't see these codes until the trucks had 350k on them. Mileage to hours indicates to me that your trucks idle a lot. And that is never good. With that said some questions I have are simple...

Do you update the ECMs when Insite directs you to?
Do your trucks run oilfield or are your trucks lacking APUs?
High idle times and never updating will cause these problems imho.
The 7th injectors have updated designs. Do your trucks carry the OEM after treatment fuel injectors or have you replaced them with the 2nd gen designs where the tip protrudes when injecting?
Let me know what you find.

Old style pump with the ceramic plungers?
Does the truck throw rail pressure codes climbing hills?
We had a truck run for months with a shattered plunger. I was convinced after following the trouble tree that the pump was gone. For so long I tried to convince my manager that was the case but he avoided it like the plague. After pulling both tanks, changing both filters, and tracing every fuel line I finally said to him that there was nothing else to do. He finally sent it in amd turns out i was right months before. Not by luck but experience.

Another thing you can check if you haven't is the condition of the intake temp. pressure sensor. If it's loaded, replace it. Don't bother cleaning it.
