^^---- Depending on the mileage on your engine currently, you may want to check into this thread...

The parts were a pain to get, but that was 4 months ago. If I remember, it took three or four different locations and a week or so (rushed) to get everything to do the job.

- Although this is a more expensive route, if you rebuild the internals and have a fuel pump head failure, you'll have wasted some of the money spent on the previous rebuild.

Reference post #26 for the parts list.

Maybe it’s my area or not but I’m seeing a massive parts shortage on many things but I’m trying my best and thank you for letting me know I just didn’t want to order individually if there was a kit out there.

Catching up with fuel pump rebuilds since finding this post and found this one yesterday. Thanks for all the good information on here. I think I am safe from any engine damage on this one since it did not break apart. This was an ISX12 CM2250.

Damn!, just in time....I'd like to see the condition of the lobes and the rollers. Still curious if the erratic motion they cause upon failure is what begins this whole process.

What was the mileage on that one?

They looked fine. Mileage was 595,000. I know, borrowed time. Still catching them all up!

Any issues getting parts for those? I've got 2 ISX's that have reached that gut replacement stage and one X15 coming up in 6 months.

Read a while back you can't get the guts anymore? Plan on starting to order the parts next week.

I'm curious as well, seems different dealers tell you different things and parts availability for them is a crap shoot.

A local guy told me he tried getting barrels and plungers for a 2350 but they told him the only way to get them is to buy the head and it all comes together in a kit. I think he said $1500 or $1800. Is that true? I have no idea, it's just what I was told.

According to QSOL and cummins parts, there's a kit available that has the barrels, plungers, springs, and washers. Seems to be only 1 set per kit. P/N i'm referencing is 5406130 for a 2017 ISX, and it seems to be only $100 CAD. Curious to see the responses here as I endeavour into this.
