People will crap when the see the actual taxes they pay in the fuel, when it isn’t buried in the fuel costs. It’s kinda like withholding taxes from someone’s pay check. Out of sight out of mind. Charge a thousand a month to drive separately for road tax then pay for electric bills. That will be fun. Right now that cost is out of sight buried in fuel costs at the pump. Every one thinks the damn oil companies did it, instead of the politicians taking our money and wasting it to their constituents to get re-elected.
