RE: Schafers oil
I think it would be too costly to run in the motor,as most change to oil at 10 to 12 thousand miles but in other parts like diffs or trans use a good oil in them.
I spent the $$$'s on putting in amsoil(my choice) in my diff's/trans. but just run good old Rotella 15/40 in the motor as i change it often, and i do run a bypass filter too. just to trying to keep the oil clean as possible.
and i do add gear oil (gl4) too :) for the added protection.

RE: Schafers oil
Fresh oil is the best oil.

I'll change it early before I change it late.
