Dpf help isx 2015 with cummins
I'm having so many problems with my dpf system $4000.00 later two months. I need a mechanic to help do the egr tuneup. I'm not that mechanically incline. I have got the filters cleaned, dpf box looked at, changed the dpf pressure sensor and got the doser valve and piping on the egr fixed. I keep having code spn 3720 15- particulate trap ash load percent least severe level. Any mechanics in the south? Or can anyone tell me how can I fix this problem? Thank you

you need to learn to work on your truck and at least do the simple stuff like change plugged up sensors and things on the engine. If you are unable to do those kinds of things, then you probably should not own one, as you will make more money as a company driver.

It's still under the engine warranty that's why I wanted a certified mechanic to touch anything on the engine. I fixed other stuff that doesn't have to do with the engine.

That is one of the most brainwashed piss-poor excuses I have heard of, sad part is that I hear it a LOT because people have been brainwashed by a system of bad information out there...

If reality is too much for you then i suggest you go back over to face-fook and hang out over there with all the rest of the idiots who do nothing but complain how they have spent too much money on repairs and too much downtime, coddling each other like they are some kind of victims, and every problem they have is someone else's headache. How about instead TAKING THEIR PROBLEMS INTO THEIR OWN HANDS AND SOLVING THEM INSTEAD!!!

-- This is exactly WHY 85% of all owner-operators struggle and fail. They think they can own equipment these days and not have to grab a wrench and get dirty to keep it going. --- This place IS THAT RUDE AWAKENING FOR THEM! because they mostly only blame their equipment and everyone else on the fact they are not willing to do anything but hold that damn steering wheel all day. They rush off to someone else, long after it is too late, and the CEL lights start flashing all the damn time, then wonder why they have spent tens of thousands of $$$ and cry for help when THEY ARE THE ONES THAT PUT THEMSELVES THERE BY NOT MAINTAINING THEIR EQUIPMENT PROPERLY TO BEGIN WITH!.

YES this place is full of hot-sauce,... Yes, a lot of people don't like what I have to say,.. It is because i am trying to jolt them into the reality that the only real way to make it long term out here and keep the money you earn is to stop relying on a broken system of useless "warranty" mentality that is designed to do nothing but sell you the most expensive solutions, make you wait so long for repairs that you can't make your truck payments, and take you for all you are worth. - That is no way to own a trucking business.

What good is a warranty repair if i had to loose $5,000 in good revenue this week waiting ti get into the shop for a "free" $400 repair that I could have learned to do myself?!.

To be even half decent in trucking these days and be competitive against the ten thousand or so truck companies out there, you ...

* Have to learn to be self sufficient so that you are not giving your profits away in constant repairs and road-side emergencies.

* Learn to lower ALL of your operating costs BELOW the mega-fleets out there so you can be competitive in the market. - This means lowering FUEL COSTS most of all and driving that thing in a manner that most company drivers are not willing to do - I.E.> Slowing the hell down and keeping the door shut so you can make deliveries on time at SLOWER SPEEDS to save fuel and less tear/downtime on your equipment.

* Learn to make a decent paycheck without killing yourself or running your truck into the ground just to make ends meet. If you can't break even in operating costs and expected income in that first 40 - 60% of your expected yearly mileage, then you are doomed for failure anyways.

* Learn to SAVE MONEY so you are not at the mercy of the system when you need to buy parts or tools to work on your truck with, and prepare for that day you will need that expensive overhaul, transmission replacement, or other things that have to be done.

* Learn how to use a computer and diag. software at some basic level on your equipment. We now live live in the 21's century. Computers have been a household appliance for roughly 40+ years now, No one has an excuse any more!.
