I would avoid paying for a warranty, like Signature stated, plenty of ugly and true stories out there. Read the fine print, there are more than a few "gotcha" clauses.

RE: This is why Cat is closing it's truck shops
Warranty is insurance.
It is a revenue source, period. It is NOT designed to "make you money", it is very heavily calculated to make them money!
It's just like blackjack in a casino, they have 50.5% (or better) odds of making money. Sure, they lose on some engines/trucks, but that's ok...cause they make money on more than they lose, so in the long run they win.
Now remember, the name of the game in insurance is collect as many premiums as you possibly can, and pay as few or as little claims as you can...
So, if you play the game, remember the rules. You might win, but the odds say you probably won't.

User's Signature: Why? Why do I always ask "why?" Because I can't learn or help teach others with "'cause I said so..."
