Cm870 gold oil tune
I'm not too computer savvy to to look through the forums and find a specific article on tuning a cm870. I'm looking for a cm870 wiz that can help me achieve my engines potential. I have a 565hp all stock with 135k miles on the inframe.

Also need to get ya boost and pyro gauges. I like autometer, Rawze prefers the glowshift (glowshift is probably easier to install and a bit cheaper)

I have both factory gauges if those are acceptable?

RE: Cm870 gold oil tune
The factory boost will pass, the Pyro, how is it connected? If it runs off the ECM, non mechanical, I would replace with a mechanical that gets a reading from the manifold.

And I have both, a factory boost off the ECM and a Mechanical, there is not that much difference, barely noticeable.

Just ensure that the 'factory' pyro has its own separate probe into the exhaust, is OE for the truck and not connected to the engine. Most (but not all) factory pyro gauges use engine data and this is bad. Engine only reports a calculated/estimated value that is well known to be very far off and is very un-trustworthy.

if your not sure, then look to see if there is a pyro probe installed behind the turbo at the start of the down-pipe.

The boost gauge is likely using the engine data. There is about a 3+ to 4 seconds delay/dullness in its response. Some people don't like this because it masks a lot of possible issues like cavitation, spikes, etc., so they go after-market any ways. Just thought i would mention this for those who might be reading and researching such things.
