RE: Instant mpg
I could be wrong on this but... To the best of my knowledge there is NO meter on the amount of fuel going back into the tanks. Without that there is NO way the computer can do anything but guess how much is being burnt and returning to the tank

Therefore the Instant read out on the dash is 100% a calculated guess.

I can tell you mine has never been any closer than 1 to 1.5 mpg off. I could only wish I got what the truck thinks it's getting.

I also kept track of the gallons used according to the computer and according to my fuel receipts for a quarter and I put close to a thousand gallons more in the truck than it says it used.

Knowing your "Numbers" for your business is important if you want to make money. Relying on the numbers your truck tells you rather than cold hard factual numbers is just fooling your self.

Sorry man i missed you asking for the parameter.

Its in cterm.... Fuel Used Adjustment Factor(with underscores between the words) its a percentage, I'd start at 115% an raise or lower it from there, do a couple tanks too see how far its off an change it some more. it'll prob take a week or so too get it dialed in.

RE: Instant mpg
On the 871 in C term the parameters are T TIB Fuel Adjustment Enable followed by Fuel Adjustment Factor. Don't forget the underscores. 116% on mine put me within a tenth. This parameter is adjustable on insight if anybody knows how to unlock it.

RE: Instant mpg
almost impossible unless you fill before and after dead head. bout the only thing you can do is find out about what you get when DHing for mileage than figoure that into the miles driven while DHing.
