Well I’m an idiot. I followed the grey wire all the way to.....the windshield washer pump

So I pulled the firewall plug apart again. The pin circled is hot with the skirt light fuse in, and goes dead when I pull the fuse. The other half of the plug has no pin, and no wires going to it. So it’s obviously never been used.

Update- the skirt light relay is still the one that clicks on-off-on-off, yet doesn’t change the lights acting up if the skirt light fuse or relay is pulled

The marker light circuit breaker will get really hot and trip when the lights are acting up. Yet, if I unplug the skirt lights, everything works fine

So, there must be a dead short to ground in the skirt lights.

I think I’ll pull the panels off the truck and plug the lights into a battery charger. Or just rewire them completely
