Why I run a Herd Super Road Train bumper
I was recently asked how I could justify buying a SRT Herd bumper for $6800CAD. The old fella said he just couldn't bring himself to buy one.

Here is the bumper on my truck in question, it has hit around 5 deer in its life and not once has anything else been damaged...... not once! Imagine how much down time I've saved, hoods, lights, cac and rads etc.

Here is a video clip showing all that happens when I do hit a deer, this was a big buck this time.

I have too much money invested in what is under that hood, and behind that BUMPER.

That is the Herd Defender...

When I had my prostar I wanted a srt but Herd said they dont make em..... love the aero trucks with the srt bumpers! The cascadia with a super road train looks awesome! The volvo used to have them but Herd said they had issues and stopped making them for the Volvo.

Had a SRT on my 1999 IHC 9300.

Both my Volvos had Ali Arc

My current Western Star has a weiner Ali Arc as well, never switched to a Herd cause this things so high that deer hit the meat of the bumper rather than the flimsy posts plus I'm selling it soon.

Always run some sort of protection.

I wish mine was taller... I would like to see that top bar up over the hood. But then we get into the weight of this beast. I'm close to 13,000 lbs up front on the steer axle... Nice to have the lift axle, I will be using that. One thing I do like, are the outside corners, I like how they are straight up and beefy, that square look, along with being reinforced.
