RE: T680 questions.
well if the door sticker at 17900 is with no fuel figure 1800-1900lbs of fuel at full, my fat ass, no headache rack but i have tools/cheater bar/tv/microwave yada yada. if put my old school 2007-2008ish tripac on im thinking curb weight will be around.....20600-20800 with the tanks filled to the brim believe their both 120gals.

put a non sliding aluminum 5th wheel on maybe i can get down to 20400-20600.

its 450/1750 ST i think when i get some help getting it squared away to not chew through soot all day and stop spraying piss in the exhaust i might have that moved to 500-550/1750 as currently almost always 78-80,000 now at least that average could move down to 76-77 and i wont have to be running back and forth between air gauges to figure out if im legal.

also is it normal for injector trim codes to be missing on quickserve? theres 1 missing when i look at the data plate info.

as far as my visual inspection went its been downright cold and trucks been sitting a bit but saw a very small dribble area of coolant, their were 2 bolts missing from a bracket that goes to the fan shroud from above the alternator, looked like possibly a new power steering pump unless they're not painted from factory, has a factory Thermocouple after the turbo right by injector 7, in last year most of the work has been done at dealer has new AC parts, Fan Clutch, front main seal, coolant reservoir, other small odds ends most of the oil changes were done there but not always, 150k on the new DOC/DPF.

If i purchase first thing thats happening is an EGR tuneup and find a kind sole as i have no clue how use CT on the 2350 vs my 871 that ive gotten used to and leave the clean farts can on but shut off piss and the soot. or just remove it all and save some more weight with the cans being gone.

RE: T680 questions.
Same cpl as my truck. Same gears and transmission. It wants to get descent fuel mileage for a emissions truck. And a Lonestar not being the most airo. I think you would like the gears cause you seem to always be running a little faster then most. 1550 rpm is 73 mph.

JimT

We need to cut our loses. The little bit of increase in mileage as well as not having to buy DEF would save some dollars. Not to mention the costs to keep the after treatment system happy past 500,000 miles.

RE: T680 questions.
It’s good I’m liking it. I need to get Uniliever or Mommaburt on this thing for some legal custom tuning. Maybe this week.

How much would it cost to get the fuel pump into trustworthy state?

RE: T680 questions.
Question, would you be looking to keep the lonestar, trade in, or sell it? Got a friend in a lease-purchase who's doing good but they've nothing but problems with the truck (all covered under used warranty) and he's looking for something to buy instead of continuing with the lease.

As for the fuel pump. I don't have the numbers around, but I think it was about $500-600 for all the rebuild parts when I did it last June. I have a 2250 but I think the parts are roughly the same cost.

RE: T680 questions.
Probably selling after taking apu off. I do have a used truck dealer interested with a offer around 30k so that's where I'm at there.

He just spent a ton of money switching from 336’s to 3.55’s. Actually he spent a ton of money on that truck, in retrospect, I guess you wish you bought something when you were looking a year ago.

Lonestar how many hours are on the 680? Is it from the kw dealer in Sioux Falls? They had a bunch of JFI 680’s there with a ton of hours on them. I was just wondering if you were looking at one of those?
