Dual alternator setup?

What are you looking to do? Or should I ask power? I have the standard el cheapo AC Delco 165 amp alternator on my ProStar... But, I have a 4 amplifier stereo system in the truck, it can move the volt meter needle. What I did, was to install a Group 31 AGM battery in my sleeper closet. I have this set up so that when my ignition is off, nothing draws from the battery in the sleeper, but going down the road it is charging off of the alternator under the hood, or when parked, off of the Tri-Pac, as long as the key is on.

I just purchased the above battery, and four new Duracell wet cells for the battery box. So far, so good, now I need a new refrigerator... The hits just keep coming.

And I have run this setup for a few years, I went and upgraded the sleeper battery to the group 31 after the little car battery gave up the ghost after five years.

The nice thing about the AGM in the sleeper, if the batteries die, even that little AGM car battery would start my truck.
